Y3 Beech Visit Tutankhamun & Dorchester Museums

Friday 17th May was an exciting day. We went on a school trip to the Dorset Museum and the Tutankhamun Expedition in Dorchester. In the Dorset Museum we looked at lots of fossils which we learnt about in school in our Science unit and then we looked at lots of other interesting items which we covered in other units in Year 3 like the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages.

We had a great time at the Tutankhamun location and the lady was great at introducing the tour with us. We looked at the Rosetta Stone and heard a little about Lord Carnavon, Howard Carter and Lady Evelyn. We enjoyed completing the activity sheet and reading about the discovery and really enjoyed looking at the replicas from that time that were discovered.
