At Conifers Primary School we are committed to safeguarding children. It is the duty and responsibility of everyone to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.  Conifers Primary School recognises the needs and wishes of every child will be put first.  Safeguarding children and young people means protecting them from abuse or neglect. Getting the right support in place as early as possible and creating an environment in which children and young people feel safe and healthy is our priority.  We all have a personal responsibility to notice when a child or young person may be at risk of harm and pass our concerns to someone who can act to protect them.

Our staff and governors have been trained on safeguarding in line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2023 document and have taken part in ‘Prevent’ training.

Please take time to look at our Safeguarding and Child Protection policy and our Staff Code of Conduct on our School Policies page.

All staff have annual safeguarding updates.

If you have any concerns about safeguarding please speak to a member of staff, who will help you.

Don't delay if you have a concern. Share it with one of us.

If you have concerns surrounding a child’s safety contact our local Children’s Advice and Duty Service (CHAD) on 01305 228866.
