Conifers Eco Council

 

At Conifers, we have an active and eager Eco Council, named the 'Eco Warriors.' The children are voted for within their classes and represent their class for the year.

The group meets regularly and are active in trying to make our school a more Eco friendly place. We are busy ensuring there are frequent litter picks in school, improving food recycling and educating the school community about how we can be more sustainable.

We also take our Eco work out into the community. See below for pictures of our most recent litter picking activities in the local area of Westham.

Sustainability and Climate Change

 

At Conifers, we are always looking to the future and are conscious of the ever changing environment. For this reason, the governing body is taking the lead in preparing our school and our pupils for the future. We have a Sustainability and climate change policy which is supported by an in depth Climate Action Plan. The pupils of our school are beginning to be encouraged to think about potential green futures for themselves as we aim to be a change for good.
