On Friday 2nd May, Year 3 went on their school trip to the Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorchester where they got to learn about Tutankhamun himself and the story behind his discovery and who was involved in that. The children also got to explore a wide range of replicas from the time period. The children enjoyed listening to Jackie share her knowledge and share pictures with us from when she visited Egypt recently. The children explored the museum and completed an activity sheet to learn about important events and facts that will help them when they return to the classroom.

The children also visited the Dorset Museum where they revisited the Stone Age, a topic they completed in the Autumn Term. They got to see a range of tools that were used and how stone age through to the iron age was seen in and around the Dorset area. We also visited the Jurassic Coast room where we got to look at fossils and what lived around those times as we are covering rocks and soils at the moment and then after half term our topic will be based around Discovering Dorset.
