Bringing the Outside In!
We had to bring the outside inside today, but had lots of fun creating our own Christmas wreaths, cress snowmen and Christmas cards using natural materials.
Y5 Learn About The Planets
Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed taking their learning outside the classroom and into the school hall, where they reinforced their understanding of the order of the planets, how quickly each one orbits the Sun, and the unique climate of every planet — with Mercury being the hottest and Neptune the coldest. Y1 have been reading and making Stickman
We have been focusing on the story book Stickman so we took the opportunity (and gap between the rain) to go into the forest area and make our own stickmen! The children worked together and made sure that they moved large sticks/logs around safely.
Y2 Learning Outside the Classroom
Year 2 have enjoyed Learning Outside the Classroom this half term. Half of the class have experienced Forest School sessions while the others have explored the materials used outside during Science learning.
Gardening with James from 'Seedlings'
This week we had a very busy, but lovely time outdoors. We planted garlic and onion bulbs, weaved willow into our fence, raked leaves for our compost heap and made a bird feeder!
