Conifers Girls Win The Nash Cup
Last Friday saw the football season come to an end with the Nash Cup competition. The girls team were looking to add to their silverware in their most successful season ever and the boys were looking to get back to winning ways after disappointment in the league. The boys enjoyed their group games, playing some tough and well organised teams. They managed to win one game against St. Andrews. The girls team won against Holy Trinity, Chickerell, and Bincombe Valley. They drew their last group game against Atlantic which meant they faced Radipole in the semi finals. A golden goal in extra time was all that separated the two sides and Conifers faced Atlantic once again. The final was tense, both teams playing some great football, but captain Scarlett Paul stepped up and scored the winner to secure the trophy and end a golden season.
