Level 2 Tag Rugby Festival

Weymouth and Portland Rugby Club hosted the Level 2 Tag Rugby Festival on Wednesday 8th February. Conifers were able to take two teams along to the event, with boys and girls representing the school from Years 4,5 and 6. Despite many children not having played rugby before both teams were able to score trys in their opening matches, with Conifers B earning our first victory of the day against St Andrews. After lunch every team was re-pooled according to their finishing positions, meaning more matches against teams of similar ability. Conifers B continued with their winning ways, with Ryley Luque scoring lots of trys and catching the eye of the local rugby coaches. Conifers A fortunes turned and they managed to win games against IPACCA and Beechcroft. In the final part of the afternoon, saw both teams playing on a friendly basis. All the children and adults had a fantastic time and we would like to thank the parents who came and supported and assisted with transport.
