

Level 2 Tag Rugby Festival
Weymouth and Portland Rugby Club hosted the Level 2 Tag Rugby Festival on Wednesday 8th February. Conifers were able to take two teams along to the event, with boys and girls representing the school from Years 4,5 and 6. Despite many children not having played rugby before both teams were able to score trys in their opening matches, with Conifers B earning our first victory of the day against St Andrews.

Ridgeway Sports Association League
On Thursday 26th January the Year 5 and 6 boys football teams faced their second match in the Ridgeway Sports Association League. After having secured their first win before the Christmas break, the team were feeling confident. Within minutes of the game opening Ethan Cockings opened the scoring, with his older brother Kaylem netting a second closely after. The boys went on to work tremendously hard scoring a further twelve goals, Harvey Holmes, Riley Glover, Troy Muir, Tommy


5 Aside Indoor Football Tournament
On Friday 20th January, Miss Frampton took the Year 5 and 6 football team is the indoor tournament at Weymouth College. With the 5aside rules, the boys took a while to adjust to the fast paced game and went 2-0 down to Beechcroft. However, Kaylem Cockings and Ryley Glover soon found form, scoring two goals to level the game up and secure a 2-2 draw. In the second game, Conifers faced Holy Trinity in their second game, it was a fiercely tight affair, unfortunately Holy Trinity
