Yr 2 'Oh I do like to be Beside the Seaside'

Yr 2 - 'Oh I do like to be Beside the Seaside' As apart of our topic this term, 'Oh I do like to be Beside the Seaside', the children have been learning about Weymouth's seaside history. To bring our learning to life we experienced a traditional day at the beach where we watched the Punch and Judy show, played in the sand, paddled in the sea and had a picnic. Fun was had by all and the children enjoyed an ice cream once they returned to school.

Year 1 Sensory Beach Trip

Year 1 went on a trip to the beach as part of our topic Weather and Seasons. The children were using their senses to describe what they could feel, taste, see and smell during the visit. Here are just a few images of their great day out...

Yr 4 & 5 Summer Activities

The summer term is a busy time full of sporting events and activities. On Thursday 19th May, Miss Frampton took a team of Year 4 cricketers to the Kwik cricket festival at Redlands. In the morning the children learnt skills and the afternoon comprised of short games, Conifers Beat both Southill and St Mary's convincingly. A small group of children were selected to enjoy a trampolining session at Westfield Arts College before half term, it was a great opportunity to offer the children a different activity and a lot of fun was had by everyone. On Wednesday 8th June Mr West took a team of year 5 boys to the area Kwik cricket tournament at Redlands, the boys enjoyed a fantastic day and managed
